4. Security and Legal Issues

4.1. How is the transaction secured?

With fiat transactions, fraudsters only need some key information about you to gain access to your funds, whereas, with cryptocurrency transactions, they need to break through the actual defense of your wallet. The payment goes through The Near which does not rely on central servers. Therefore, it is censorship-resistant and has better data security.

4.2. How is my account protected?

To access your account, someone would need your email and password. Do not use the same password for your email account and the account where you keep your money. If you suspect that your credentials were compromised we suggest you change the password.

4.3. What should I do if I forget the password to my account or lose access to it?

You will need to contact our team at help@streampayments.org They will help you to reset the password.

If anyone contacts you by other means and claims to be a StreamPayments employee, please do not trust them and contact us immediately.

4.4. Do you report my income to any legal entity?

No, we do not report your income or any of your personal data. In the majority of jurisdictions, you will have to report your income when you transfer it to your bank account. Please, consult the tax authority of your residence to avoid any complications.

Still, have questions left? Please don't hesitate to contact us at help@streampayments.org
