Why Solana?

The use of Solana blockchain technology also ensures that transactions are secure and fast. The goal of StreamPay is to provide customers with the freedom to pay, enter, and identify in various venues, using nothing but their palm, making it easy for customers to breeze through their day.

The Stream Protocol chose to use palms as biometric authenticators for their StreamPay Platform because they require an "intentional gesture" to trigger. This means that the user has to actively choose to have their palm scanned, providing an extra level of security.
